WTF! Why Opera Upgrade tries to set as default browser???
When I installed 10.52 and now 10.53 as an upgrade on my wife's pc where IE8 is the default browser the option to set Opera as default was checked! Why don't you respect the previous setting to be NOT the default browser?Opera whined at the EU about Microsoft and IE and many people complained when Apple updater installed Safari silently. And now you're not better!
Should someone send a complaint to the EU to force you to show a browser selection screen instead of setting Opera always as default browser if the user doesn't see and uncheck it?
I'm very annoyed and close to uninstall Opera and tell my wife she has to use IE only! Please change this behavior back to what it was in the 9.xx versions.

For me, auto-update keeps putting an icon in the Quick Launch bar and on the desktop (just like Adobe Reader).

It is a bug in the installer that I thought was supposed to be fixed. Might be worth submitting a bug report again so Opera are aware it's still happening.
