In opera:about by browser identification is
Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Presto/2.5.24 Version/10.52

Can anyone tell me if indication of Opera/9.80 is correct when on Version/10.52, or might it indicate some conflict within my Opera configuration.

It's correct. Someone smarter will come along and explain why Opera need to include "9.80", but in the meantime ... it's correct.
