opera:historysearch Makeover

On Safari this feature is great, safari saves all text in a website, so when you only find a tiny info/word on that website, just type it, and it'll show up sites with that phrase or word - it really is helpful.

on opera:historysearch I don't see that it does the same thing.

Too bad I have to use Safari for work.

Do you think opera:historysearch needs a makeover?

Hmmm, this feature was introduced in Opera 9.5 all the way back in 2007 (before Safari 3.1 even). Check out Menu button > Settings > Preferences... > Advanced > History, and make sure that "Remember content on visited pages" is checked.

If it is checked, this Web page should pull up when you type something like "so when you only find a tiny info word" into the search box in the History panel (Menu button > History). If you don't, there might be some other issues with your installation.

Yes, and I'm talking about opera:historysearch not "Menu button then History" - it's just opera:history.

What I meant is opera:history search, like will search when I typed opera, it'll search for ALL web pages on my history containing Opera.

It's not smooth as it is, so I think it needs a makeover.

I've done it on a CLEAN CLEAN profile with even 3 computers to have the opera:historysearch tested.

works flawlessly here for all content. check if the setting jonaswan2 pointed you to is enabled as this toggles between only remembering the url or remembering the content (also, as jonaswan2 mentioned)
