Opera buys Fastmail.fm e-mail service

Opera has purchased Fastmail.fm e-mail service (which I've had for 7 years or so). What innovations are being alluded to? Why nothing on the Opera blogs, news? Will this help or hurt Opera (maybe a distraction?). Just curious what others think...

I don't know anything of this deal, and have never used Fastmail.fm, but I would expect it to be better than Outblaze, which has provided the Opera Web Mail until now. Furthermore owning the company makes it more adaptable to Opera's long-term plans. Good investment, or an distraction? That would depend on the terms of the contract, and the value of those plans.
