Option to not disconnect on idle

Currently, Opera Mini disconnects from the mobile's internet connection when it is network-idle for a period of time. My Mobile provider only has per-minute charging, so every time OM disconnects then reconnects to get a new page, it is considered a new section of time and I am charged again.

An option so that OM doesn't disconnect when idle until the app is fully closed would save money. Could this please be added as an option? The native browser on my phone doesn't disconnect on idle, but its Netfront browser so it displays pages very badly.

Are you using a socket connection or http? My understanding is socket holds the connection open while http does not.

Mods shouldn't be discussed on these forums. Also use of them is highly not recommended because they can brick your phone.

Going to socket results in a broken connection, it only works in HTTP mode in my phone/network.

Looks like your provider does not support socket connection awww Then you have no much choice but use http. However, I recoomend checking the setting given by your provider, and find out if they have different settings to offer.
