Can't download file in irc window with 10.53 release

Hi all

Here a weird bug.

A friend wanted to share a file with me through irc, but impossible to download the file.
When I click on the link, I get (I translate french and english):

French : URL invalide
English : Invalid URL

French : L'URL opera-chattransfer://accountid=3&port=0&transferid=61 Contient des caractères qui ne sont pas valides ainsi placés.
L'explication de leur présence peut être une adresse URL mal entrée, mais l'URL peut aussi essayer de vous aiguiller vers un autre site, différent de celui que vous souhaitiez visiter.

English : opera-chattransfer://accountid=3&port=6667&transferid=61 URL contains invalid print [...] . Bad URL.

I don't know why opera redirect opera-chattransfer as a bad url...

Any ideas ?

This bug has been present since Opera 10.50 pre-alpha. At least two bug reports were provided to Opera Development Team in order to fix this issue. The only thing we can do is wait and hope.

Those two slashes after the colon aren't supposed to be there. If you try copying the url, removing the slashes, pasting it back into your address bar, and hitting enter, you'll get a save dialog. Unfortunately, even if you give it a save location, the download won't start, so that doesn't really fix it.
