Unable to enter login information to proxy server in 10.53
I've encountered what may be a bug in Opera 10.5, and would like to know if this is broken for other people as well, or whether I have an isolated case on my hands! This is using Opera 10.53 on WinXP SP3.As a student at the VU Amsterdam, I can use their proxy at home to access certain restricted sites to which the VU has access, such as bibliographical databases and the like. Unfortunately, whenever I go to such a site and get the login window popping down from the address bar, there is no cursor in either the username or password fields, it does not appear upon clicking there, and I am unable to enter any text into them. I can, however, write my username and password into Opera Notes, and then right-click on the fields entering those notes into them, which is a bit of a work-around, but at least gets me in.
Can anyone else confirm or refute this behaviour?
1. Set http://www.ubvu.vu.nl/ubvu.pac in the Automatic Proxy Configuration settings in Opera.
2. Visit either http://picarta.pica.nl or http://www.jstor.org
3. Be unable to enter text into either the username or password fields.
