Any way to find install files for an earlier version? Having problems with 10.53 upgrade
Hi:I'd like to uninstall my automatic upgrade to 10.53 that happened last night and reinstall 10.51 or 10.52. Any idea where I can find those install files?
Since the upgrade, I've been unable to get anything to open in tabs, despite having advanced preferences and shortcuts set to allow new tabs. All that happens when I use Control T or rightclick, open in new tab, or File/New Tab commands is that it erases what's in the current window and opens a "Speeddial" page. A bug, I think.
I'm running Windows XP Home with all the latest security patches.
Will post separately about the no tabs issue. Am describing here so you understand why I want to roll back.
(EDIT: The separate discussion of the vanished tabs issue is at http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=551871&t=1272755438&page=1#comment534383. If inclined to respond to it, please do so there.)
I tried a System Restore but that didn't work because Opera uninstalled my previous version as it installed the new one and so files are missing.
Thanks for any help,
ken

I don't think so. I think you have inadvertently changes some settings.
Check the settings in Preferences, Tabs. Uncheck "reuse current tab" and make sure you have not enable "open windows instead of tabs" in Additional tab options.

Appreciate that, Pesala. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. I had already checked those things before posting. They are the way they should be. It's just not working. All I get when I try to open a new tab or new link is a Speed Dial page.
Am going to dig into the "links" settings to see if there might be anything there. And am going to uninstall and manually download and manually install the latest version and see if it will work then. I suppose that means I'll lose all my settings and favorites, etc.
This is the first time in years of use that Opera has acted up on me. Am really surprised.

I should really encourage us to move any discussion of the vanished "Tabs" function to this thread:

Thanks.
I only mentioned the problem to explain why I was hoping to roll back to an earlier version of Opera.
(Am going to edit the earlier post to direct any discussion of the "tabs" issue to the tabs issue thread.)
