Adding bookmarks to the Start bar
I have started using the Start bar in Opera because it can be set to only show up when clicking on the address bar and looks like a nice place to store some bookmarks. But I can't seem to add any to it...
You can only put buttons in the start bar, which is a shame. Is there any workaround to add regular bookmarks or bookmarklets to the start bar, to access them quicker?
Hold down the shift key after dragging the favicon from the URL field and before releasing it onto the start toolbar. The same technique is needed to drag and drop bookmarks to any toolbar. It used to be possible without holding shift but too many users were doing it by mistake, so it was made a bit more difficult.

Pesala,
I am doing exactly what you are suggesting and the icons appear in my start bar (or anywhere else I put them). However, when I exit the browser and then start it again, they have disappered. Does anyone have a clue why and/or how to fix this issue? It seems to happen only with bookmarklets (bookmark icons stay on the bar).
I have the latest official version of the browser and tried disabling Opera Link (no effect).
Any help is much appreciated,
Deyan
