Importing skin, sessions, wand, etc

Ok,frankly I don't like the new look of Opera, but maybe I just need to get used to it...

I am trying to figure out how to import those things other than what is listed to import, such as skins, sessions, and wands from Opera 6? I think it is opera 6, I don't even remember as I haven't upgraded in about a year I think. There are places to import bookmarks, but not for sessions and other things. I tried copying those files directly into the opera folder, opera didn't find them, so... Ok so how do we do it? I am betting the skin cannot be transfered.. I love my old skin as it allowed for very small tabs on the side, one row could fit almost 100, don't ask, I just need that many, and so far I cannot find anything even remotely close to that. The way the tabs bar works now is horrible. Not impressed at all..

wand.dat and \profile\sessions\*.win files can just be copied — skins need to be compatible with the latest version, so you need to look for a new skin or an update for your favourite skin.

Thumbnails in tabs can be disabled, if that's what you're moaning about. If tabs are at the side, then they won't use the Windows title bar space as they would at the top.

I copied over sessions and wand to the applications folder with opera in it, and opera is not recognizing the files, when I reopen opera, there is no change.

I figured that would happen with the skin. I cannot find a new skin I like, they are all using very large height for the tabs. I always put my tabs on the side, but this time, you cannot have 3 columns of tabs, it stops at the bottom, which is not what I want to do.

That is a toolbar setting. Change it in the appearance dialogue to allow wrapping.

Then you probably copied them to the wrong place. Check the location of your profile in Help, About Opera.
