A note before I start: I used to experience this with Opera 9.5 under Windows XP Pro SP 2. I'm currently using Opera 10.53 on Windows 7 Pro. It's been a while since I've seen it, but here it is. As a long-shot, I've got Spybot running on an automated check, which may be what's causing this.OK. Every now and then, when viewing an image-heavy site (a webcomic, for example), this appears:

Clicking Yes tends to cause it to reappear almost immediately. Clicking No causes it to appear after a period of anywhere between 10 seconds and 2 minutes. Many images on the current tab (and on all other tabs) refuse to load for several seconds after this, or are unloaded from memory. Refreshing an affected page causes the box to pop up almost immediately, and the page loads incorrectly:

In order to stop it appearing, I have to close Opera and restart. Needless to say, this gets annoying when you have to do it once every two days. An interesting development in Opera 10.53 is that, occasionally, the Yes and No boxes grey out when you hover over them, forcing you to hit the red X.
I stopped the Spybot check. Of course, I have no idea if this worked, as the message box is still appearing, and closing Opera causes the box to stop appearing. The file in question is not set to Read-Only or Archived (but is marked as Ready to Archive). I currently have about 43 tabs open, but I remember it once occuring with only 12 tabs open. Opera is also currently eating my computer, taking up 50% of my processor and between 908000K and 931000K of memory (whenever I click No or X, the memory usage shoots up). I'm using a 2.6GHz Intel E5300 dual-core and 3GB of DDR2 RAM. This computer is just six months old. The defragger says the drive is 1% fragmented, and I'm using a 7200rpm 320GB HDD.
So, what's going on, and can I fix it?
Oh, and a new feature of the BOX for Opera 10.53: after closing Opera, and opening it again, it's forgotten what tabs you had open, what your settings for Link were, and if you've used Gestures before. It doesn't wipe your cookies or history, though, which is a relief, though relinking can cause duplicates to appear in the bookmarks.
Sounds like a memory/resource leaks again. Sounds like (reading this forum) the new 10.5x line is worse than 10.10 in this matter.. which is also affected. These might not be exactly related, but could be worth checking out: 10.51 Windows. Bookmark saving failures. and my post in Opera misbehaves with ~100+ tabs topic.
