Bookmarks disappeared from "panels"
When Opera installed 10.53, I found that when I clicked on "Panels" I got just a blank panel at the left of my screen instead of the bookmarks that I had had there since opera 5. Now, I have to use the clumsy "Firefoxtype" bookmarks button to access my bookmarks. Is there any way to get these bookmarks restored to where they were - alternatively, can I go back to v.10.52 or earlier, and would that solve the problem?(Why to they keep screwing around with the browser?)
I use XP Home Edition, Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.111025-1629 (Service Pack 3) and, currently Opera 11.64.
That would have fixed it. Unfortunately, before I read browser 1's post, I was trying to use the crappy bookmarks thing in 10.53 and somehow managed to delete almost all of my bookmarks. I had backed them up in an .adr file, but can't seem to get Opera to replace them. Of course, the "helpful" Opera Link also deleted them from my laptop. Now I REALLY need some help. I tried using System Restore, but when the restored version appeared, I got an error message saying that Opera would not install.

Using System Restore, I have gotten back to Opera 10.51, which is what I had before the involuntary installation of 10.53 , but when I try to access Opera, I get the message "error initialing Opera: module 10". I have some old versions of my bookmarks backed up in the Opera folder, and I can open them in IE, but when I try to save them to another location, I get the same error message.
