Accelerated wheel scrolling
I'd like to have in Opera an 'accelerated' scrolling through mousewheel.I mean: if you scroll faster, the page does not scroll in a 'linear' proportional way but faster.
OK, I admit this is difficult to explain in English for me: here's the page from where I 'stole' the Idea
(and, sure, I tested it on FF: very nice).+1.

It's what Apple describes as "Kinetic scrolling."
Whatever Apple calls it, my mouse software refers to sensitivity and acceleration on both X and Windows. OK, the scrollwheel is rather by lines, but I'd say acceleration also works for the, um, well, acceleration.

+1, although I think it's more of a thing that should work in the entire OS.

dont think its good - it makes it impossible to control scrolling - arent you supposed to "pull the scrollbar" if you want to scroll longer distances?
If implemented correctly that shouldn't be an issue. Anyway, just like smooth scrolling one should of course be able to turn it off.

there are like 100 featurerequests to be "optional" at the oment - if half of them will be adopted, it will be around 200 options more to set (as there is mostly more thn on/off per feature)...

the whole "optional thing" starts to make it bad - average user is already scared of operas-configuration, i don't say chromes"both options" are better, but there is a point where it starts to resemble linux, some more and you can start distributing Opera as sourcecode "do it yourself, set variables on your own and compile" style >_<
I actually agree with you. But if Opera's gonna to put in kinetic scrolling when they put in touch support anyway (hint, hint), they might as well put in the option for mouse users. Something like (...) > Preferences > Advanced > Browsing > "Additional Scroll Options"opera:config page maybe, nothing default.
