Trouble with Opera 10.53, Build 8343

I had had a problem with my Opera browser ever since Opera 10.53 auto loaded onto my Mac PPC B/W Desktop. When my computer is first powered up, a popup window appears stating that Opera quit unexpectantly and gives three buttons, Close,Try Again, Report to be selected as what I want to do. I have chosen Report , which sends a report to Apple and Try Again , which eventually launches Opera. Since I use Opera as my default browser, I have to go through this process every time Opera is launched.

When Quitting Opera, from either keystroke or from the drop down menu, another pop window appears stating that A new setting was created for this App and provides two options to proceed, "Use new settings" or "Use original Settings" to close. I have selected each option once and saw no difference when launching Opera the next time. The whole closing process takes about two minutes after the last option has been selected. I have made no setting changes.

Is this a problem with my computer, Operating System or the Application? I initiated a bug Report DSK-297172 and decided to try the Forum to see if any one else hd this problem.

UPDATE: Opera continually produces a Pop-up stating Opera quit unexpectantly while using other Apps or Opera crashes while in use. I am thinking that Opera 10.53 is not stable for a Mac. I like Opera and its features but I can not deal with this annoying problem. It is time tochange default browsers.

Moved to the Mac forum, though I understand the PPC version isn't as stable as the Intel version ... (but not being a Mac user can't really say more).
