Do not use Speed Dial->Reload Never!

I did this thinking it would stop trying to reload my gmail inbox from speed dial. As it turns out, it ended up reloading it continuously and got me locked out of gmail for 24 hours!

Yes and it resulted in me getting throttled from my ISP because I'd gone over the 10GB monthly limit!

You should have Speed Dial set to the login page, not your inbox. For Gmail (English): http://mail.google.com/mail?hl=en
