collapse bookmark tree

Whenever i go to add any bookmarks i have to scroll through the entire expanded tree of bookmark folders. this is really bothersome as i have have lots of of subfolders that i have to scroll through until i reach the one i want. how can i force it to just show me the top level folders and not the subfolders. its the only place that tries to show me the expanded view and i hate it. i've tried looking around for a setting to change it back to the normal view but i just simply can't do it. someone please help!

The current version doesn't allow that. Though maybe someone can figure out how to replicate the old dialog ...

Moved to Customizing Opera, as the most appropriate forum.

The only little help is to type name of the folder. Highlight locates to folder when You type

It's also not a bad idea to choose the Split view.

Open the bookmark panel, expand the tree and drag the bookmark to where you want it.

...and don't forget 2 mouse gestures for bookmark panel: Left - collapse all, Right - expand all

[I'm on 10.60 alpha build 3600 32bit, WinXPsp3]

I had this need too, so I proceeded to just goof around, & discovered :

Left = collapse the node/folder/directory that's currently selected/in focus
Right = expand the node/folder/directory that's currently selected/in focus

Shift + Left = Collapse entire tree

Shift + Right = Expand entire tree

I bound these to some mouse gestures in StrokeIT (i prefer to use this gesture solution computer-wide thru all apps/browsers)
and now i'm 1 step closer to computing @ speed of Thought bigsmile
