black background back to white please

I used to be very happy with the "white" background that older versions of Opera presented. With Opera 10.5, the usual white background of Opera disappeared, and now not only did the background change but also the letters were mixed.

Is this a feature of new Opera or is it caused by a bug?

Please do not give me a link to find the answer because I spent hours in this forum following the given links by the moderators with no proper answer at all. Please give me a solution here. Thank you.

Considering you seem to be using 8.51/8.x or a skin from, or based on that version, or 9.x with a 8.x skin (really... why does it have the old Icon in the titlebar?)

If it actually is 10.5, but an older skin... it's possible that the skin just doesn't have any settings/images/etc to deal with the transparency that Opera added for Vista/Win7 in 10.5... so its showing through to your desktop (which is black?).

Anyways, unless it also happens with the Standard/Default skin, or other skins for 10.5 (except ones that are intentionally fully transparent, etc), then it's not Opera's fault, but whoever made, or maintains the skin you are using.

Which, <i>might</i> also be partially related to your text issues... however, that also could be the font you are using (Preferences - Advanced - Fonts)... and depending on which version of 10.5 you are using (10.5, 10.51, 10.52, 10.53, and 10.54 are all options, as well as Alpha/Beta/Snapshots for each) it might have been either fixed in a newer version than you are using, or possibly step back to a version that did work, until it is fixed again.

Looks like you are using Vista (or a custom style for Win7), but what Opera version/build specifically?
