Folders in RSS view

Hello
Is there any possibility to put RSS feeds into folders? I've got about 50 RSS channels from different categories (software, news, technology, politics etc) and it's hard to manage them.

The other thing.
Is it possible to see real page when clicking rss message instead of description ? I want to see the page where the news is placed.

Thank you in advance for help!

Opera doesn't have this feature. But, you can simulate it with filters.

First, you have to create a filter named "RSS Feeds" with a rule of "Matches messages where any header contains @rss.opera.com" and set it to "Mark messages as filtered" and apply the filter.

That will give you your own feeds access point.

Then, you create sub-filters. For example, you'd create a "Software" filter under the "RSS Feeds" filter. The rules for the filter would be ones that would match all feed messages you want in the Software filter. You'd set it to "Mark messages as filtered", "limit to parent" and apply the filter.

Then, under the Software filter, you'd create filters for each of the feeds in the Software filter to group the messages into their own feed group. Again, "mark messages as filtered" and "limit to parent" and apply filter.

So, you'd have something like this:

- Filters
    - RSS Feeds
        - Software
            - Firefox Release Feed
            - Opera Release Feed

in the mail panel.

The hard part is coming up with a rule that will match all messages for a certain feed. To do this, open a feed message, right-click on it and "View all headers and message". Then, examine the source for something unique to that feed and use that as a basis for a filter rule.

The downside to this (besides being a pain to set up), is that the filters only show in the Mail panel. The feeds *menu* will still look the same.

Another downside is that when using right-click -> "Show messages from" in the mail panel, you have to use "All" or you won't be able to see the messages in the feed filters.

No. You have to open the message, scroll down to the bottom and click on the link to the page to open the web page.
