Opera:Config Help?

I'm having a problem with Opera, and I thought I'd see if I could fix it myself before looking for help.

So I went to Opera:Config, and found that each item that can be set has a "?" next to it... Great! I can look to see what all these things are/mean/do and see if any of them will help.

But, no?

It seems that "No information could be found for this item" is th only value ever returned when I click the "?" button next to a config item.
the little double-chevron "arrow" next to each item (which I though might open a window with more information about that item) seems to just scroll the window to put that item at the top... it's totally unclear to me how that is supposed to help.

So, uh, I'm still having my problem with Mail which I can post about separately, but in the mean time, is there some specific step I have to do to Config Config so that it displays Config Help?

thanks,

-rachel

Yes, all the (?)'s are broken... they've been there for awhile, but I guess whoever is responsible for writing the snippets hasn't gotten around to it.

The >> doesn't have anything to do with help, those are anchors, useful for getting the link to the preference, ideally they should work like this but those haven't work in a long time, so you have to use ones like this...

I agree! Most of the settings in the preferences editor may as well be written in Latin without the help function. Weren't most of these settings and their explanations already in existence in previous versions? C'mon Opera staff... get together for a "pizza & beer, copy & paste party"!

Settings for 9.64 and before are still available at http://www.opera.com/support/usingopera/operaini/

I do agree with the sentiment Opera:Config help can be much better.
