Allow string manipulation for searches

Hi there,

I've created an Opera search entry for eMule searches which where introduced in v0.50a and there are some issues with that. You can see the original topic here and there is also a description of the problem, but I'll post it here so you can see it and tell me what you think about it.

It's a pity that Opera replaces spaces ' ' with pluses '+'. Plus character is a valid eMule search character so your searches will most probably will not return anything at all.

This is not really a problem for default searches but the design of Opera allows for flexible use of the search feature and I'd absolutely love to see the possibility to enabled some kind of basic string manipulation (replacements, cleanup) as it would make it even more powerful!

BTW there also seems to be a bug (also described in the post I made - at least on Windows systems): if one creates a search with a protocol that is not handled by Opera (e.g. ed2k:// in my case) and uses it, then a popup will pop up and regardless whether you press Yes or No, it won't be dismissed. The only way is to assign Opera to the protocol or close it via the X (close button) in the top right.

PS: there's still no possibility to view stored passwords in Opera sad

From the original topic: it'd also be nice to have an option to NOT open another tab on searches!

I would suggest this is a fault with eMule. Opera is URL encoding your string, as it should. eMule should be URL decoding the string, which it obviously doesn't. When Opera wants to send a 'plus' symbol, it would send %2B. This is correct and standard behaviour for a web browser.

... and I should hope not. I don't want anyone who gets access to my PC to also get access to all my passwords.
