Windows Desktop Opera v10.53 doesn't load SSL webpage over VPN connection
Opera Support,I just upgraded Opera on my WinXP SP3 system from 10.52 to 10.53 and now I can no longer access a SSL web page over OpenVPN. When I type in either the IP address or URL, Opera just sits there, nothing ever loads. I have no problem using Firefox, MSIE, Chrome, or Safari for the same address. What I suspect is that the self-signed SSL certificate is not trusted by Opera, but for some reason Opera is not presenting me with a popup window to accept the certificate. When I open up Opera's "Certificate Manger" I don't see the website's self signed cert in any of the tabs.
In addition, if I leave the blank Opera window open, my computer gradually gets slower and slower response to the point I have to close Opera. I used Windows Task Manager to track the CPU usage and saw opera.exe grew in the matter of 2 minutes to 100% CPU usage.
