cannot get google results to open in new tab...

Hi - I am slowly migrating from Firefox to Opera but am finding some annoying quirks along the way. One is that it will not accept my google settings. I prefer my google results to open in a new tab when I click on it and no matter what I do (sign into google, change my setting, etc.) it will always open in same window. To be clear, this form the Google Window/page. The little google search bar will always open in a new one but that is not what I am talking about. I searched the posts and cannot find an answer so far.

Also, any chance of the google toolbar in an upcoming release? I miss mine. I liked the spellcheck and had lots of bookmarks in it. I like having the two separate areas for bookmarks (sorry, I'm a bit quirky, too) wink

thanks!

tj

thanks, but I had already found that and it was set. I would think google settings would override that anyway as it has its own (Google) settings.

Anyone else??

Then uncheck it. If "reuse current tab" is set, links will open in the same window (unless you hold shift when clicking the link to override the reuse current tab setting).
