Kindly correct your rules please.

Hi, just writing about a possible mistake you have made in your rules. My first recently posted thread was locked due to caps. It isn't that I wanted to post it like that, it's just that it is the way I know it to be named, caps included. I was reluctant to post in all caps and so I read through the "Forum Rules of Conduct and Posting Rules (please read before posting)" thread to read on posting rules, and it made no mention of this CapLock restriction. However, after having my thread locked, I was forwarded to a new document with additional rules. I would like to request that you include a link to this document within the aforementioned post about forum rules, or that you modify the current document linked within.

Thanks for your understanding.

P.S. I am aware that many moderators can indeed change a post title. I would like to continue the conversation I started, and because I did not intend to break those posting rules at all to begin with, would it be possible for the topic to be changed into lower sensitive letters and unlocked? Otherwise, I will try to start a new thread; I just didn't want yet another thread that offers no help at all when someone searched through the forum.

P.P.S. I have also just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize and ask for a moderator to kindly move this to the opera feedback forum. Thanks again for your time.

Welcome to the Opera Community!

Before you start posting, please take the time to read the forum Rules of Conduct and Posting Rules.

It is important that you understand and follow these, as it is the best way to keep both yourself and other people happy with the discussions in the forum.

Here they are again - remember to keep them in mind:

Rules of Conduct
Posting Rules

And in "Rules of Conduct" it says:

5. Flooding and/or spamming means instant ban. Turn off caps lock before posting, too.

So which post are you referring to that has rules, that aren't in those two topics?

But I agree with the "locking", it's frankly retarded... deletion is fine, but locking just makes whatever the post is about "spam" since 99% of them don't help anyone in the post itself, and most get locked before anyone really answers the questions/problems/etc.

Hi Vectronic, I was referring to the following set of rules:

http://my.opera.com/community/forums/rules/

in the topic INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER (IDM).

Thank you for pointing out about the Rules of Conduct, I overlooked it because I focused on the Posting Rules, but that is no excuse (from my part). I would still like to request an inclusion of this rule in the Posting rules if at all possible.
