weird message about maintenance.
Good nigth to everybody; The other week I received an advice that Opera need to make "maintenance work"on my e-mail account. Is that real or is a hacker work?? Need advice. Thanks from Eduardo.++++Good evening to you too — good night means something like "good bye."
The message is normal. Opera indexes the mail database from time to time. Indexing of messages and removal of deleted messages makes it very fast to search your mail. In Opera's email client there is no need to organise messages into folders because you can just use quick find to find whatever you want at once.

As said, it's real. Opera uses a database to index messages. It likes to perform maintenance from time to time for your benefit.

I received that message the other day while I was in the middle of something so I just closed the box by clicking the x in the top corner.
I have not received the maintenance question again. Do I have to do anything to reenable it?
My Mail Database Consistency Check Time is 1273630053. Is that in seconds?

Set the Mail Database Consistency Check Time to 0, save the change and restart Opera. That's how you manually trigger it.
