Any idea when feed detection will be back ?

What do you mean by "silent update"?
How we can get it?
It it going to show in Itunes as an update or do we need to download the app again?

A silent release is one which caters for small bug fixes and does not incorporate any major changes. I am not sure about iPhone availability though.

Can anybody confirm if this is 5.0.19693 ? I need to download it seperately and then rename in order to keep Mini 4.2 to save my feeds.

Is it 5.0.18635 for SymbianS60v5 (lang. - RU) ?
I got this update some days ago.
Main disadvantage is google search by default, and can't switch back to Yandex (as it was in prev.).
Also speeddial for myopera and facebook added. What's the reason for it? is it bug fix bigsmile
Pls, chk & correct this

Please reinstate "* + 0" (<start + zero>) shortcut for feeds, as in Opera Mini 4, or a link to feeds on the speeddial. It is awkward to always access it via "# + 5" and <enter>.

@marianh Should I update manually to 5,0,19693 RU
or wait for silent autoupdate, as it was 2 times before (1st time I silently;) got "MTS version", second - this with google search)

@miyuru this should have been fixed now, too. Please try the new build and let me know if it's not.

@mlnay it's up to you when you want to update- the build you receive does not differ depending on whether you update yourself now or wait for an update message. Regarding your previous post, we are currently experiencing some issues with the Yandex default search (replaced with Google as you note). If you keep your current client, you should be switched back to Yandex as default with our next server update.

Still doesn't fix the bug on my Storm 2: After I submit text and the virtual keyboard hides, the screen space the keyboard took up doesn't get reclaimed until I rotate my BB. After a rotation (or more usually a rotation and back), everything is fine.

Not a deal breaker, but still annoying.

(Blackberry Storm 2 v5.0.0.607 on VZW, running OM v5.0.19692 from this latest download)

I have one small complaint. In the final version of Opera mini 5.0, while using installed search engines it is not possible to use full page edit along with scroll function to select the search engine. Most of the keywords one searches for are common english words that can be easily typed using T9 dictionary mode.

So, currently I have to change the settings to turn off full screen edit to select the search engine, then again manually select "full screen edit". This is much more cumbersome than the arrangement in 5.0 beta 2 version.

Apart from this minor inconvenience, Opera mini 5.0 is excellent to use, and for that I congratulate & thank the Opera team. smile

@marianh It's been fixed, thanks. However, I notice a bit sluggishness ( more than previous level ) when checking the address of a loaded page ( N95, S60 3rd Edition ).
Is there any way feed synchronization could be brought between 4.2 and 5 ? I guess this is not impossible given that synchronization happens as usual between two 4.2 versions ?

I presume that is fixed now. Related with Google classic, search term is not in the middle of the box now beside some layout issues.

@Dennis : well, PC bookmarks in Mini 4 can be accessed by the More Bookmarks link on the bookmarks page. Mini 5 doesn't - even though I'm permanently logged in to Opera Link via the menu, it still makes me login again when I go to link.opera.com to get at the rest of the bookmarks. I miss Mini 4's way awww
Of course, the issue whereby with Full-Screen Edit enabled I can't select another search engine is still a deal-breaker for me. The Opera Link issue, and the lack of the old 'feeds' and 'zoom to end of page' shortcuts - I put up with that.

When using mobile view on the latest update it is impossible to view the bottom of pages with lists of options/data.

To view them you need to switch to full screen mode and that makes it hard to copy and paste information

Type config: into the url box. From there you can turn off the folding lists. I turned them off--you can see all the links in Mobile View.

I see this most often with vBulletin forum software. Also, in form fields that perform some JavaScript validation, the page reloads without the previously input text.

There are 2 bugs that make this unusable.

1) text input on vBulletin sites or in text fields that seem to employ some java scripting. Several posters commented on this. It started for me sometime after 5 went official. Maybe with a silent update because I didn't think my version changed and it started happening all of a sudden.

2) screen not resizing when virtual keyboard drops on the storm. Once you enter text and the v keyboard goes away the screen stays crunched up as if the key board was still there. You have to change the device orientation to get it back.

If you could resolve these 2 I would love Opera again. The text input is the biggest issue.

Thanks!

An ergonomic irritation: using my Sony Ericsson - on web pages 'back' is the phone's [back/undo] button. When I'm in the Opera top bar/menu getting 'back to the web page' is not the [back/undo] button (which does nothing) but the right hand hardware button. This is non-intuitive and I keep stabbing at the intuitive [back/undo] button feeling frustrated!
