Right-Click on the page, and select "Block Content", then click on the Ads you want to block, when your done, click "Done"

You can also use the urlfilter.ini file. There's instructions at Tamil's blog here - http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/ad-block I use Tamil's optimised filter and find it works well.
