Opera 10.53 Fail
Mac G5, Mac OSX 10.4.11, PowerPC ProcessorUp until Monday, 5/3/10 I'd been running Opera 10.10 with success. Then it prompted an update, which I didn't think anything of, until I went to install the update from the new 10.53 dmg file. After dropping the updated Opera app into my Applications folder, I went to open it. Within merely a second, the program opened and closed in my dock. I repeated this over and over. Then I deleted the update and redownloaded 10.53 from the Opera site. Again, same results. I even deleted the Opera cache under Users>Library>Cache to no avail.
After nearly giving up on Opera as a reliable browser, I located a 10.10 download and reinstalled it, which works perfectly.
In my opinion, the new 10.53 update has major bugs to work out (especially if a user can't even access the browser after updating).
I won't be updating this one any time soon.
