How to send Opera email out of Filemaker database?

Hi folks,
I'm using Filemaker Pro 9 as database solution and Opera 10.5x standard setup for emailing. Operating system is Win XP SP 3.

Now I wanted to use Filemaker's functionality to create the email directly in the database (by using existing database content for subject, text and address) and then transmitting the fully created email directly to the email application for subsequent send out.
However it does not work out! sad

Filemaker help notes:
To send mail, you must have an internet connection and the following configurations.
Windows:
A [Mail] section in the Win.ini file.
Microsoft Exchange or another email applications that is MAPI compliant installed and configured properly.

Well, I don't understand all of these requirements... but
- I have internet connection and opera mail as such is working properly
- the 'win' file (in Windows folder, I guess this is the ini-file?!) starts with:
; for 16-bit app support
[fonts]
[extensions]
[mci extensions]
[files]
[Mail]
MAPI=1
[MCI Extensions.BAK]
aif=MPEGVideo
etc.

this seems to include a mail section as required above?....
- is Opera MAPI compliant? If not, how to do so?

Has anybody of you in the universe ever successfully set up such email-process with Filemaker?

Unfortunately another, more general topic on emailing from Filemaker notes
Note Generated emails are sent using your default email application. To send mail on Windows, you must have an internet connection and Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, or Eudora configured properly.
Here it looks like the functionality is limited to non-Opera applications?....

Thanks for your feedback and support
Best

I know nothing about Filemaker, but you can use http://www.joonis.de/mapi4opera to hack in a little mapi support.
