No More Opera Updates for Solaris 10 - WTF!

After years and years of using Opera, I'm being told "we don't want you anymore."

I run a Solaris 10 x86 server at home (website, e-mail, etc) and have been using Opera on it since I changed from Linux to Solaris. It is related to my job, as we are a Solaris shop.

I personally think that it is a rather crappy decision to drop Solaris support for Opera.

I may have to rethink my use of Opera and go to Firefox (as long as they don't drop support as well).

Sigh :-(

Well, they silently dropped SPARC support after 10.10 so that was kind of predictable.
Equal opportunity blasphemist and insultant.

Dropping SPARC support does make sense, as anyone dealing with Solaris are moving to x86 platforms. We are. Our SPARC support stopped at Solaris 8. Ultimately we will stop supporting SPARC boxes.

But, our Solaris x86 support is alive and well.
