No one can answer my google question about new window/tab??
I posted this the other day and got one answer which did not help (I already had it set). Am I the ONLY one with this problem? Here is link to OP.http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=556211
Do you want every link you click to automatically open in a new tab, or just Google links? Either way, I'm not aware of any way to make that happen. The "Reuse current page" checkbox only makes searches from the search bar, right-click items (search, dictionary, etc.) and some other stuff open in new tabs. To open regular links in new tabs (links which are not set by the webpage to do that) you need to use a shortcut (Shift + click) or a mouse gesture.
Posting a second thread really is a waste of time. IMO, bad form.
Reading your original thread (annoying), I am not really sure what you want to do. It sounds like you want to click on link in a Google results page and have it open in a new tab (similar to what Google News does). Also, not sure if it's just for Google; that is why you received the original response, lack of clarity. Also what are your settings?
My guess (that's all it can be) is that you will need to write a User JScript to do this. No, I don't know how to do that. Tamarin (I believe that is his name) might have an idea. Check the boards for hidden modifications, he writes about this a lot.
Toolbars WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Beyond the safety issue, it requires the browser to be extensible, and that is begging for problems. If it ever happen, I will dump Opera. There are enough issues to deal with already. I find it hysterically funny that so many who hate Microsoft for doing this in an OS, demand it in a browser.
