Opera 10.53 for Linux - Can't click to raise or focus windows anymore

Opera 10.53 Internal, build 6330, Gentoo.

Things were fine in 10.10, but in 10.53, clicking inside a child window neither focuses nor raises it. The only ways to focus and raise windows are:

- click on child window title bar
- click on tab
- Ctrl-Tab
- Tab switching keys (1 and 2 by default, I think)

This is is a significant usability bug, IMO. Is anyone else experiencing the same? Opera team: Can you reproduce?

Been an issue in 10.5x since the first test builds, yes. For that matter, used to be an issue in Windows also, but has been fixed there.

Not all Linux desktops are click-to-focus, it would be nice if they could determine how the desktop works and emulate that ...

Oh, you missed all the other standard actions for switching tabs: RMB+scroll, Windows panel (if enabled), Window menu (if enabled), etc.

Wow, "hold secondary mouse button and scroll" is a great tip! Thanks. smile But I'd still like this bug fixed. sad
