Blank speed dial page with Opera Standard Skin/10.53

Can anyone help me figure out why I get a blank page when I hit the Speed Dial button in the Opera Standard skin for Opera 10.53? In other customized skins I am able to see my information and the "what is speed dial?" and "configure" buttons for only a few seconds before the screen goes blank. I am using Windows XP Pro SP3, and have never experienced this problem with Speed Dial before with older versions of Opera. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you hidden the speed dial? Click on "Show speed dial" in the bottom right corner.

Thank you for your reply.

Since my first post I have reinstalled 10.53 and when I use my mouse to start Speed Dial it opens the page as one would expect, but only with some custom skins and never with the Standard Opera skin. When I am able to open Speed Dial using a custom skin that allows me to do so, I can move my cursor over all of my "frames", but when I attempt to hover over "what is Speed Dial", "Synchronize Opera" or "Configure Speed Dial" all my frames disappear as do the three buttons at the bottom. I am left with a blank page which is unresponsive to any cursor movement over any part of the window.

I wondered whether it might have something to do with my cache, but I've emptied that and the behaviour continues.

I really don't have any idea how to go from here.

Again, anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks.

Oh, and by the way, I can't see "Show Speed Dial" in the bottom right corner. I assume you mean the bottom right corner of the browser itself and not the Speed Dial window.

Thanks again.
