[3386/6333/8350] Something for the weekend

Looks like they're still hard at work - they gave us something to play with pretty late on Friday. Quite a changelog - too much good stuff for me to list even the highlights. Nothing specific listed for UNIX, just all the fixes that apply to all platforms. The Mac known issues are gone, which leaves us with:

UNIX Known Issues
Flash is not working
IME is not working
Some outstanding font issues

See the full changelog and get it here.

Unfortunately this build will not allow Yahoo mail to work in anything other than its "classic look". The previous build worked fine. Ages ago this used to be a problem and there was limited success with changing the ID or masquerading as IE or FF. This time it doesn't seem to work.

I found renaming my current speed dial file and restarting Opera to build a new one then replacing that with my old one fixed the problem you're having weep86. It also fixed my background issues (the new background wasn't showing.).
I for one welcome our browser overlord. All hail Opera

I can't see why, but on some tabs when clicking into the address space, the Start bar shows up blank. Yet on the adjacent tab, for example, or some other random one (most of them, actually), it's fine. It seems arbitrary.

Masking as Firefox just works, but normaly you could just use identify as Opera, cause the browser.js just fixed things.
But in the latest build that one isn't available so that could cause the trouble you see.
Try seting it to 2 opera:config#UserPrefs|BrowserJavaScript
If there's an browser.js file on you're comp it should work again.

Thanks for your help smile

I changed the value first of all to 1 and checked for an update, hoping to update the javascript - no luck.
Changing it, and then saving it, to 2 also made no difference. Then again masking as FF also did not make Yahoo mail work as it should.

This used to be an issue a while ago that seems to have crept into this build sad

Just no browser.js on the server for this build.
With a bit of luck it's fixed on monday.

It is ofcourse something to keep an eye out for it. Cause we cannot have a Final build without it

Well I'm impressed.! Not sure what has happened but I changed the browser javascript to 2 (and it no longer rest to 0 each time) and now it works..!!

Yahoo mail works fine and no longer requires the "classic look".

Now I have noticed that there is quite a delay for videos to play from Youtube or the BBC website (for example). The sound starts right away but the video is delayed with just a white screen showing for some time before the video shows. FF and IE are ok.
