I am a Juggalo... I am an individual guided by Light... I know who I am and who I want to be. I recognize that the path to Shangri La requires an open mind... I shall not judge. I am part of a Family... I shall Love my Family as I would my blood. I shall do my Family no harm as I know what is done to others shall surely be done to me. I shall strive to honor my Family and not disgrace their name.

on the other hand
the man is the head of the house
and i believe that the Bible says that Jesus is the head of the Church and the Church is His wife...so...my answer for this would be that since Jesus is the head of the Church, and man is the head of the household...and according to the Bible...
1 Corinthians 14:34-35
“34 ¶ Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”

Yes, I thought about that while I wrote it.

What went into the Bible was decided by a council of men. So yes I think women can preach. Besides, how literally do most people live by the bible anyhow? They have sex before marriage, they live together without being married, all kinds of stuff. So how are we all the sudden to pick and choose that "this" is wrong or right.
In doubt it's a free speech issue - the bible itself and plenty of useful translations are public domain. That doesn't mean they have to let you do it in any particular church but they can't really keep you from preaching.

Well, you could do this
If one ignores corinthians then ive seen Women are very emotional~when they confess in front of the church by either cry or shake always.so how many minutes wasted in congregation to wait for that person to be back in her minds, and the focus of the "church people" will be on that particular women which will lead to forgetting what was preached from the opening of the congregation.
Sheesh, Athiest are rude here. Atleast the percentage on {ASMB} in the Babbling section have some decency.(if I misspelled anything, I'm on my DSi)

Well you do have a passing point there RekaG as Atheists do tend to be rude here. They regard anyone not of their stance somehow a lesser intellectual being and worthy of only scorn not right of opinion. The arrogance they hit everyone else with is not easily acknowledged to themselves.
This coming from you - oh the irony, too bad it's completely lost on you

I don't believe it's right for anyone to preach the Bible.. I believe it's for personal growth.

Can I ask exactly how wearing a "head covering" shows that a woman "respects" the male's authority?
What is the symbolism involved here?
Should not the woman cover instead her eyes or ears such that she cannot pass judgment on the male?

Would that be Jesus Martinez, Jesus Hernandez, Jesus Ramirez, or Jesus Gonzalez?
Maybe I can explain something which might clarify some attitudes here.
Being a Christian you would no doubt be askance at some (hypothetical) non-Christian primitive religion that was cannibalistic and followed the practice of eating old people's brains because they believed that transfered to them the wisdom of the person that was eaten. They might hold a passionate belief in the sense and righteousness of what they are doing, but I doubt if you would yourself be able to respect their belief. You might respect the person for other reasons, but not the belief.
To an atheist, looking outside all religions, and faced with all sorts of beliefs ranging of the gamut of what one should eat, wear, attitudes to women, whether to grow a beard, and a whole host of religious rules which vary from religion to religion, not to mention tales of mythical and magical events, it is very difficult to respect those beliefs however one might like the believer.
Religion is an important issue and governs what many people do on this Earth so it is important to atheists whether they like it or not. A frustration for the atheist is that there appear to be no answers whatsoever to justify strange practices and rules other than instantiated "Faith".
It is not only atheists that are uncomfortable with some of the more extreme behaviour codes that beset religion. This accounts for the large number of sects within the Christian Faith for example, and many Christians do not take everything in the Bible literally but rather as allegorical.
In this forum, to generalise, most ire from the atheist community here is reserved for the religion fundamentalist who believes everything that is written in their holy source.
