I also get something like this in 10.53 (it was also in 10.52, 10.51 and 10.50)
If I scroll down the page quickly, and then up quickly, the video appears, and there is no need to refresh the page.
I think it's a refresh issue. It happens with flash, not only youtube.

Confirmed, also happens with bbc news and weather pages. Reloading the page usually resolves problem but not always. Annoying.

Here too, but it only seems to happen on YouTube channel pages where loading a new video doesn't re-draw the page.
If I just scroll the page slightly so any part of the Flash player window goes out of the window it immediately appears.

I agree, but this is really frustrating. This is one of arguments why I'm still using 10.10 which works just fine. I attach a screen that confirms this situation on newest Opera 10.60b. I hope that some will solve this.opera_ssie.jpg

I have not seen that. I prefer to have the Flash load only when I am ready, however, so am using the settings in opera:config > User Prefs:
Enable On Demand Plugin - on - embedded plugins are replaced by a Play image
Enable On Demand Plugin Placeholder - on -puts image over plugin space
I click the image to start downloading the Flash video.
I am using Windows XP SP3.

I've managed to solve this. The problem was connected to some old data from Opera 10.10 which I've upgraded from. After deleting all the data and installing fresh Opera 10.60 Youtube works fine now. So after couple of months I've finally upgraded from oldie 10.10.
