Opera 6331/6333 torrent download issues

I download torrents from time to time. Opera has its built in torrent agent, thats really unique and helpful thing among browsers.
Too bad it doesnt really works.

My issues:

I go to download Ubuntu 10.04 .iso from torrents:

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors#bt

I let it go, it downloads about 99% then Opera hangs + uses high amount of CPU - 70-100%. I restart it after a few minutes, resume the torrent, the same thing except that the completion rate alternates between 0%-99.97 %.
Eventually i had to kill Opera from tty1 because it blocked mouse clicking - everything was fine, the cursor was moving, but it didnt register clicks, and metacity shortcuts.
I completed the download with Deluge - it had to download 3 KB (Opera hanged 5-10 minutes on this)...
The torrent has a high seed ratio (2000+ seeders) as this version of ubuntu just came out.

I tried this a second time, i had approximately the same results.

Edit: today i downloaded a torrent (200 something seeders) - i unset the automatic bandwidth limitation.
But i tried again the Ubuntu torrent and it froze Opera at 19.7% - now the torrent had 5000+ seeders. It reached quickly my ADSL's full download speed. Maybe its related to high seed numbers/bandwidth?

Sounds like the number of connected peers might be an issue. Personally I'd use something else for all the extra control it gives you over the download process.

I used Deluge but i already have Opera running all the time, launching an extra app doesnt worth it if i already have the functionality (in case if it works of course) built-in. I dont need complicated configuration options, as long as the downloads are working.

Good point. I don't really know if anything can be done about it. :/

Other related issues:

- If Opera is stopped when a torrent is downloading, on restart the torrent is no longer in the downloads list - the .torrent file must be downloaded again and point the download to the previously used folder - Opera will resume the transfer. But it will report bugus high d/l speeds after checking the already downloaded portion.
- Sometimes attempting to remove a seeding torrent from the download list by right-clicking and selecting remove locks Opera and prevents any clicking/shortcut actions to take place, i had to kill Opera from tty1. The right-click menu stays open in this case (but cannot be interacted with), maybe that is the reason why shortcuts and clicks wont work.

PS i was able to d/l the Ubuntu .iso file without problems (about 5000 seeders) at work - here i have about 20 Mbps up/download speed.
At home with 6 Mbps the download kept freezing Opera (it did reach the maximum d/l speed of about 620 KiB/s).

I downloaded 3 different torrents each about 80 MB without problem (Opera 10.54, 6333, Linux). I even don't have public IP here.

Try the above mentioned Ubuntu image.
My problems happened when there were many seeders/leechers + 6 Mbitup/0.5Mbit down ADSL line.
