Instant crash on startup 10.54_3386 (mail)

This is what happens:
I open Opera, see momentarily mail tab and my homepage tab > crash. I can't open Opera unless I choose to open on speeddial only.
I get the speeddial and now I can open mail too and everything works as expected.
But if I close Opera > start Opera> crash again.

I installed 3383 (which I had before the upgrade) > instant crash. Uninstalled all Opera versions > installed 3386 with my mail > crash.
Did a separate install with 3383 and my mail; working beautifully. In fact I'm just now using this installation.

So it's pretty obvious that 3386 with my mail doesn't work together.
I don't have Unite, Link or Turbo on. All ideas are welcome.

Please post your problem in the Opera Mini or the Opera for mobile phones and other devices board.

And please don't shout (all caps) as it is rude and unneeded.Especially for what looks like a minor problem.

Update: now I finally got the time to rebuild my installation. After I imported all my mail to the new installation everything has been working correctly.
