Old Tab Display

Many Opera versions ago, you could go to a site in the first tab, then select a URL in that site and a new tab would be created But the first tab would stay open. No matter how many new tabs were opened from the first tab, the browser stayed with it.
Now the browser keeps switching to the newest tab created. Can a setting be changed to get the browser to operate the old way?

Preferences, Tabs, and disable "reuse current tab"

Or ctrl shift click on a link or bookmark,

or create a mouse gesture in Preferences, shortcuts, mouse setup

Thanks for the response. The ctrl shift click on a link or bookmark works. Preferences, Tabs, and disable "reuse current tab" does not.

I failed to point out that I'm running Windows Ultimate x64 which may have something to do with it.

Thanks for your help.
