Separate O-button functionality
Let's separate calling Alt-menu and visualization of main menu (functionality of O-button).I have double O in my left-upper corner of Opera window - see myopera.PNG
Let's link Alt-meny appearance to RightClick on MainWindowIcon (O too :)
I use customized button (three red hyphen) to show/hide main menu, so this undeletable O-button is as fifth lag on a dog.
Kill O-button!
I use Opera since version 3.62 and prefer the design of version 9.27.
The menubutton cannot be removed from the customise dialogue to prevent new users removing it by mistake, but you can remove it from toolbars by editing your customised toolbar configuration file in \profile\toolbar\
The O button can be removed from the tab bar (Page bar head toolbar) by turning off the toolbar from the Appearance dialogue. The toolbar will reappear though, each time you open the dialogue, so you have to remember to hide it each time.
A more permanent solution is to edit the skin and replace the icon with a blank one.

The title bar window icon is hidden by default. Most users won't even see the title bar.
