Where are cookies saved in Opera 10?
I have just upgraded to Opera 10.53, build 3374.In prior versions, cookies were saved in a file called cookies4.dat, which in my setup was located in C:\Program Files\Opera\profile. That file still exists and appears to hold cookie information. But that file hasn't been updated for over 2 months. When I use the cookie manager in Preferences|Advanced|Cookies I find entries that don't exist in the file.
I sometimes read and save cookies (with javascript) from my own HTML page. I used to find cookies I saved in that cookies4.dat file. Now, when I save new cookies, that file doesn't change, but I can read the new cookies (again, with javascript) and they still show in the cookie manager. So clearly, the cookie4.dat file is no longer being used. But I can't find the file where cookie information is now saved.
Does anyone know the new filename? Is the information now perhaps encrypted?
Thanks.
Mark

Thanks, FeyFre, for answering.
I'm using Windows XP Pro, which should have shown at the bottom of my initial post.
I have a single-user installation.
I don't know if I can answer your question about access rights, but I'll try:
1. I can certainly write to my own Program files.
2. When I save a cookie using javascript in my own HTML page, it used to be saved in C:\Program Files\Opera\profile\cookies4.dat. I don't know where it's being saved now—that's my question—but it is being saved somewhere, because I can collect the cookie with javascript and I can read the cookie using the cookie manager.
Woops. I just found it. I have another cookies4.dat file in C:\ . . . \Application Data\Opera\Opera which seems to have all the updated cookie info.
As you suggested, FeyFre. Thanks!
