Incorporate an interface similar to the one Adblock Plus uses into Opera's Content Blocker
Many a web browser is familiar with the Firefox addon Adblock Plus. It has 3 distinct features. The first is subscriptions to content blocking lists. The second is the ability to add custom filters that either block content or exclude it from being blocked by another filter. The most useful feature of all, though, is the popup interface that appears at the bottom of the browser when you click the toolbar button. It shows a list of all the content on the page, including hidden content, and allows one to go through the list blocking anything not already block that should be.Opera already has the ability to add filters and there are various ways of manually implementing a blocked content list into opera. While it would be appreciated if the latter was replaced with the time saving convenience of Opera actually allowing subscriptions, of greater importance is the fact that Opera's Content Blocker uses element hiding rather than a list interface that reveals hidden content and scripts. While turning off JavaScript solves the latter problem, it creates another problem entirely due to its all-or-nothing nature. My wish is for such an interface to be incorporated into Opera to provide a more efficient and convenient method of selectively blocking content. Of course, the element blocker should still be available.
P.S. Whitelisting would also be nice. Like for torrent trackers that include "link_tracker" as the url for an image that links to the tracker. While the filter is useful, one needs to delete it completely just to get it to stop blocking a single instance.
