Downloading Videos: How can you determine if one is true streaming?

When viewing a video on a web page, how can you tell if the video is being stored on a file in the cache versus true steaming, is not getting stored as a file in the cache, and you need the tools described in Download FLV videos from any site using Opera!

Sometimes I have discovered that a video was apparently streaming when I didn't find it in the cache and had to download it again.

You can tell by looking at the method/protocol (RTSP/RTMP/RTMPE) used by the videos true url. Often these are hard to find and need to be sniffed out. (Orbit comes with a decent url finder.)
