Plea to the Moderators, please don't close threads so quickly!

I've been contributing to a thread for the last couple of days trying to sort out a problem with someone who's having a problem with their Opera installation, which is what this forum is for I thought.

The conversation, involving several people, was relevant and constructive, and I hoped that a solution was imminent.
Out of the blue, without any warning, the thread has been closed, the reason stated being the very common "thread title is not relevant to the problem", or words to that effect.

I'm all in favour of threads being closed, or even removed, if they are non-constructive, irrelevant, or have degenerated into personal abuse between forum members, but please mods, don't close threads that are ongoing and could be useful for people in the future, as well as the person who started it!

If the thread title is not deemed to be appropriate, then just change it to something that you think is, please don't just close it!
I get the impression sometimes (and I apologise if this isn't the case) that the mods have just looked at the first post, and if they decide that it's mis-titled, they just close the whole thread without even reading the rest of it.

They may well close or remove this one as well, because it's a generalisation and not directly relevant to this section of the forum, but if they do at least it means they would have read it!

Thank you.
Dave.
