Speed dial button
Hi all!Can someone please tell me how I can create a button (for example next to my home button) so when I click on it I go to my speed dial? Is it possible to create this kind of button? I think it would be very convenient if there is a button that takes me directly to speed dial instead of always opening a new tab.
Thanks!

However, I don't really suggest that, since if you accidentally remove it (or reset toolbars), it's gone for good... but the other way (with dialogs, etc) it adds it to that section, so you can easily add it back again. Also makes back-ups easier, and upgrades have less chance of deleting your buttons.

Another handy backup procedure is to simply bookmark the button link… (The URL is the actual code to install the button.) A folder of such is a boon to organization, if you're an inveterate button user/maker. This also provides an easy way to document both the button and its source, via the Details Description field. And, of course, the name is editable — "this one" or "button" is not very informative! (

Yeah, but there again, the name only applies if you drag&drop the button. The only time I do that is for opera:/edit/ (as well as the title attribute) since that's basically required for it to look/work right... most of the time it takes me 3 or 4 tries to "snag" the link, usually Opera just starts selecting text... so... consider it my protest...lolAnd, of course, the name is editable — "this one" or "button" is not very informative!

What do those numbers mean, and why are there 3 commas after "dial"?
When I tried to copy the link address, why was the second half of that anchor address omitted?

Translation codes, its so the button works in any language that Opera supports, instead of having static text in english or whatever. The codes can be found in ..\Opera\locale\*What do those numbers mean

Action, Parameter, Parameter, Text, Icon which becomes: Action,,, Text, Icon

No idea, like I commented in the other thread, it might be a bug in the newer... Mac or Linux version? maybe... (can't check Mac, don't really want to bother booting into Linux to check)... that hasn't happened since earlier 10.5 Alphas/Betas...second half of that anchor address omitted
It was the icon name that got omitted. I am using Opera on a Windows PC, not on Linux or Mac OS. The setup of that button URL does not seem to me to work very well. Apparently, in order to get the entire link downloaded, one has to quote the message which contains it and select the destination from the anchor code. And then what do you do with it?
Maybe check your UserJS, possible Adblock ("Block Content')... they might be preventing them from working properly.
Considering they don't work here... they probably won't work anywhere else on a webpage, but you could try <a href="http://76.11.58.186/QuickEdit.htm?edit=Show%20speed%20dial,,,2112804961,%22Window%20Speed%20Dial%20Icon%22">here</a>, and click "Add" once its done... doing what it does... you could also just copy the code, go to the page, and paste it, then click "Create" then "Add"...etc...
But its' basically using the same mechanism, so would probably only work if a UserJS/Blocker is limited to my.opera.com somehow, but not other sites. (assuming that's the problem)
