Favicon as visual tab

Could an option to use the favicon (icon shown in titlebar) of the website as the tab preview be included? Obviously some stretching would occur but if it was scaled to full size but I think it would be a good feature to have.

I've noticed that some sites just show white or the preview isn't distinguishable enough so an icon might be more useful.

What do people think? bigsmile

As many browser will support this feature then many sites will use large favicon files (which now can be of any graphic format). So no stretching will occur

My guess is that a vector format graphic icon would be best as I believe they scale well.

Any other thoughts on this one?

Sites already can use any vector or raster image as favicon. But AFAIK the only widely supported (by browsers) vector format is SVG.
