Opera 10.10 in Ubuntu 10.04 64bit e Windows Media Player plugin

Whe i try to see a Windows Media player streaming, for example those from theese pages:

http://www.rainews24.rai.it/it/canale-tv.php

or

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html (watch NASA TV)

i cannot see them (plugin not present), and i cannot find a plugin compatible with Opera.

In firefox theese streamings are available by totem-mozilla.
I tryed also mozilla-plugin-vlc packet uninstalling totem-mozilla, but in both firefox and Opera, i can only see a black ring where it's written "watching video", but no video is playing...
Solutions?

Fucking proprietary plugins!

mplayer-plugin has worked in the past (or related players). Sometimes vlc works, sometimes it doesn't ... sad
