[Opera 10.53] Opera Link - sometimes random items are moved out of their folder

I run Opera Link on several computers and for the most part it works fine but every once in a while I get this strange behavior.
What seems to trigger it is that the Link icon in the status bar is busy and seems to hang. I let it run for 30 minutes, but it kept on spinning. In order to sync the latest changes I usually restart Opera by shutting it down and then hitting the skip sync dialog that pops up. After this, Link seems to move some items out of their folders, putting them in the root of the bookmarks These bookmark items are stored where they should be on other computers but not on the one where the issue happened.
Subsequent syncs have restored the items into their right place before but now I'm not sure what to do.
I haven't been able to reproduce the bug so I don't really know how/if the report will be helpful to the dev team, but I do get it from time to time and it seems to happen when Link "hangs". The Opera Links status says that Link is running fine when this happen so perhaps it's a client dead-lock issue. Is this a known bug or should I file a bug report anyways?
It seems that this only happen to specific bookmarks, and always the same bookmarks.
I don't want to turn off link synchronization as I run Opera on several computers.
What's weirder is that when I moved the bookmarks back to their folders, some of them seems to have gotten corrupt. For instance, I moved bookmark A, B and C into their folder, but when I moved bookmark D and E to their folder (another folder), they were placed in the same folder as A, B and C. The weirdness does not stop there. They were actually added to the wrong folder but are also children of the C bookmark, which now acts a folder (but looks like a bookmark). None of these bookmarks are usable, clicking on them opens the wrong Url.
Seems like there's a bug here. No doubt about it. I'll report it after work.
The status icon hanged like described in the original post again, and after a forced application restart, Opera Link moved 32 bookmark items out of their folder and put them in the root.
Hopefully they'll look at it before next release.
Have you noticed the change in functionality of the "sync now"-button? I wasn't sure if it' was related to the problem but with this change in mind you would think so. The button does not appear do to a whole lot - in fact it appears as if it does nothing at all - when it's clicked. I've just briefed the changelog but could not see any related info there.
I got an Opera Link hang yesterday I was curious to see if either my bookmakrs or notes would get mangled in some way but it didn't happen! Good news for I have not had this issue occur even once since upgrading to the 10.6 branch.
If any Opera developer wants to inspect my Opera Link account that's fine. I just would like to see this issue go away.
Today some of my deleted bookmarks have returned. I removed them over a week ago if I remember correctly. 30 items got restored into the root folder of the bookmarks sidebar/panel. 5 of those 30 items are folders which may or may not contain child nodes, so in fact the number of items is well above 30 items.
I look at the Opera Link in the Error Console but it's difficult to see where the problem appeared since there are no timestamps.
On one box, I have just one error:
Opera Link
SYNC_ACCOUNT_USER_UNAVAILABLE
The user information is currently locked by the Opera Link server, but it will be available shortly
but the other machine has more:
Opera Link
SYNC_ERROR_PARSER
An error has occurred while parsing data from the Opera Link server
Opera Link
SYNC_ERROR_PARSER
An error has occurred while parsing data from the Opera Link server
Opera Link

Also, memory usage is up to over
I don't want to miss the link feature, since I find it extremely useful. Is there please someone who could take a look at this and stabilize the opera link feature? It really is not overly usable if I have to spend half an hour a month just repairing what opera link broke.
Also, are you using any synchronisation service for your opera profile maybe, like Dropbox or something?

I know you didn't ask me but since I'm the creator of this thread and keep getting issues every now and then I'll answer your questions.
The computers I use are "always" on - and connected to the internet - pretty much 24/7 and I rarely restart Opera. I usually shut it down to complete Windows updates, by accident or when the Link-hang issue appear as it makes the browser noticeably slower. Both machines can easily have Opera running for weeks if not more.
- I have not synched Opera on my Android phone more than once. It was perhaps a few days after Opera mobile was released on the Android marketplace.
- I have not restored a backup in a long time. I can't remember the last time.
- I do not synch any Opera files with Dropbox. My Dropbox files are located on a totally separate folder and on another disk.
As I write this post I noticed that the Opera Link icon has been spinning for almost two hours now. No messages in the error console though! Memory keeps rising even though I'm not doing any browsing activities besides from writing this reply.
I hope you find this information useful. I've tried to be as detailed as I can be. As I've said before: it's okay for you guys to inspect my profile if you need to.

Just to make sure, are you using Opera 11 beta? Everywhere?
My Opera 11 installations have not been setup to use Link but my main installations (10.63) have.
With or without Opera Link enabled moving bookmarks around (drag'n'drop) barely works as Opera stalls/hangs while doing the move - often for ten seconds. Drag'n'drop from the address bar to bookmarks same problem and its very difficult to target the destination folder - the link usually ends up in the parent's folder or just lost. This is especially true adding a link to an empty folder.
BTW it would be helpful to list the account name in Opera Link status along with some comfort feedback such as last item sync, number of items, what's being sync, etc. Yes, I'm using two Opera accounts and never quite sure which account Opera links is using.

Why aren't you using Opera 11 final?
Anyway, it seems that my Link issues were solved today, for synchronization is working again. Hoorah! Sadly it also brought back tons of bookmarks I deleted, but oh well. Better than anything disappearing. I had a back-up of bookmarks, notes and search engines just in case, of course.
