HTML5 audio (and video) support for Opera Mini ?
HTML5 and the HTMLMediaObject on other mobile browsers range from limited (iPhone Safari - unable to play inside browser) to non-existent. I believe it is present on the newest Android browser, but I haven't tested it.This is especially a problem on the iPhone/iTouch-devices, where it seems that Apple has actively decided not to follow the web standard. If you try to play audio or video files using the HTMLMediaObject in iPhone Safari, it will open in the iPhone Quicktime player. This prevents me from deploying a web application that I'm developing to work on the iPhone OS as well as other platforms (my application needs Audio()-support).
Now that Opera Mini has come to the iPhone OS, there's seems to be new hope. Are there plans to support in-browser playback of HTMLMediaObjects in Opera Mini?
