How do I add Google Maps to custom search engines?
Hi, I'm using V10.53, build 3374 on Vista X64. I've successfully added Google Images, Dogpile, and YouTube search engines to Opera by simply right clicking in the blank search area and selecting "create search." But when I try this with Google Maps, it refuses to work. The following search string is created: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&output=js&hl=en&geocode=&abauth=3e049a34%3Awjh76ubPCIXwAr862Do_I9UAbnc&q=%s&btnG=Search+Maps.
However, when I enter a location to search for, I get either a blank page or a map of the United States. Does anyone know the exact search string necessary for Google Maps in Opera? Does it have something to do with javascript and POST?
Thanks
Change your search string on this one : http://maps.google.pl/maps?q=%s&sourceid=opera

Thanks for the search strings. They both work but the pages are in Polish. Do you know what the search string would be in English? I tried substituting the ".pl' in your search strings with ".en" and ".us" but neither work. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Hi, guys, I finally found this search string for Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=%s&sourceid=opera. It works 100% and is in English. Thanks again for the help.
