Hide Speed Dial Button
In Opera 10.53, in order to hide the speed dial, we have to:- click Configure
- check "Hide Speed Dial"
- click "Okay"
In Opera 9.x, there was a Hide Speed Dial button right in the Speed Dial window (just like there's a Show Speed Dial button when Speed Dial is disabled). I FAR prefer this simple on/off scenario than having to go through the extra steps just to turn Speed Dial off ... not wanting SD to display at some point can be pretty temporary.

Create a keyboard shortcut with following action to hide Speed Dial.
